How to Lace Snowboard Boots

How to Lace Snowboard Boots

It is important to get your snowboard boots snug and tight before you lock them into snowboard bindings. Boots that are too loose will not respond to your foot movements well, and could result in the loss of control of your snowboard. Burton snowboard boots are a popular brand used by many professional snowboarders. The lacing system of the inner liner and outside portion of the boot are typically standard lacing, although a few models may use cable lacing systems.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

  1. 1
Put the boots on, then pull all the laces in the inner liner of the boot tight. Thread each lace through all the loops on the liner, then pull them as tight as you can and tie them. If you have cable based lacing, pull on the handle and push down with your foot to tighten all the laces. Once the laces feel tight enough, push the locking mechanism down and lock it in place.
  2. 2
Repeat Step 1 for the other Burton snowboard boot.
  3. 3
Start at the bottom of the outer laces of the boot. Pull the laces at the toe through the loops, and pull them tight. Continue threading each lace through the loops of the boot, pulling them tight as you go. At the top of the boot, cross the laces and wrap them around the top rungs, then tie the laces in place. If you have cable lacing, pull the handle at the bottom of the boot, then criss-cross the laces with the top two rungs at the top of the boot and pull the locking lever at the top tight.
  4. 4
Repeat Step 3 for the other boot.  http://www.getvertical.ca/home.html
